Cameron is from a long line of pipers and drummers who have been part of the piping scene in BC for many years. He began basic piping instruction when he was 10 under the instruction of his aunt, Julie Guillemin. His next instructor was Jimmy Wilson who prepared Cameron for solo and band competition. From there, SFU piper Rory McBlane took over and guided Cameron into solo competition. | | As
a bandsman, Cameron has played briefly with the White Spot Pipe Band before joining the Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band. Following
his competitive years, Cameron joined his aunt and uncle (Mike and Julie Guillemin) in the RCMP E. Division Pipe Band in 2008. Cameron
participates in many local events - a highlight of which was performing with the band at their 2014 Tartan Day celebrations and the Band concert in Langely with the Vancouver Welshmen's Choir that was the basis of the Live in Langley CD. | | |
