Brent grew up in North Vancouver and began playing bass/tenor drum with the Seaforth Cadets in the early 1960’s.

Brent retired from the RCMP some years ago, having served 28-years in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. He played with the Delta Police Pipe Band in the 1980’s but was lured away to referee rugby for some time, returning to the band fold in 2010 by joining the RCMP E. Division Pipe Band.  The highlight of his musical career was participating in the Quebec Military Tattoo in 2013.
