Ian Dailly was born and raised in North Vancouver. He originally began drumming lessons when he was 12-years old and then took a 40-year hiatus.

Ian restarted on the drums with the J.P. Fell Pipe Band of North Vancouver and has been playing actively with that band since 2006 while continuing his instruction from Curt Watts. Ian has been a member of the RCMP E. Division drum corps since 2013.

The highlight of his drumming career has been playing with the RCMP composite pipe band as it paraded through the streets of Old Quebec in 2013 following the military tattoo in that city and travelling to Beijing China with the band in 2016.
